Bristol bar reopens with new menus following £300k revamp


The Anchor in Bristol has reopened its doors following a £300k refurbishment and the creation of six new jobs.

The bar, located on Gloucester Road, has undergone a complete makeover both inside and out and now boasts two outdoor seating areas, offering customers an engaging space to relax, dine or be entertained.

As well as seeing a full refurbishment, the bar has also introduced a new drinks menu, now offering five draught craft beers, four cask ales and seven real ciders as well as all the usual favourites. A brand new breakfast and brunch menu is also be on offer, with food now on sale from 10am until 10pm every day.

The bar’s relaxing chill zone entices those after more than just a quiet drink, enabling guests to take a break from studying by playing pool or a selection of retro games. What’s more, the whole site is equipped with free Wi-Fi and printing, and mobile phone charging is available for those looking for an easy-going workplace away from the library or office.

The Anchor boasts an array of offers and events, such as Wing Wednesdays where customers can purchase wings for 25p from 5pm onwards, and £3 Craft and Cocktails on offer every Thursday.
