Deal struck to save & rename Oakleaf Brewery Co

Portsmouth's Oakleaf Brewery Co has been bought out of administration by investment firm, Just Develop It, and renamed as Fallen Acorn Brewing Co.

The Gosport-based brewery was forced into administration early last month after 16 years in business.

Oakleaf will stay in its current location in Clarence Wharf Industrial Estate and the four members of staff are set to continue in their roles.

The firm's beers have won multiple CAMRA awards, both regionally and nationally, and Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage also campaigned to get the beer to be served in the House Of Commons bar.
