Former Giggling Squid manager to launch Thai takeaway chain

Adam Webb, the former Giggling Squid marketing manager, is set to open ThaiWorks takeaway restaurant in Bournemouth, following an investment of £100k for refurbishment.

Launching on 23 September, the new site will open 7 days a week, opening from Saturday to Thursday and all day from 12 noon Fridays. It will deliver to homes within a four-mile radius.

A new state-of-the art kitchen has been designed to the specifications of a team of skilled chefs who previously worked at Chaophraya, Busaba and Koh Thai restaurants.

The menu features classic Thai dishes of red, green and Massaman curries, plus innovative modern items such as cheeseburger spring rolls.

Webb aims for ThaiWorks to become the first nationwide Thai takeaway chain. A second opening is already planned within the year, with a further two acquisitions in the following 12 months.

When a solid platform is established, a rapid, nationwide rollout is expected. The company has already attracted significant investment from a number of existing industry players and will initiate a crowdfunding offering next year.
