Zetter to operate first hotel outside London in Manchester

The Zetter Group is to operate the hotel for Allied London’s London Road Fire Station in central Manchester. Allied London is to submit a planning application this autumn.

The Zetter Hotel at London Road will be the group’s first operation outside London, its fourth venue, and Manchester’s first truly international boutique hotel.

Michael Benyan, The Zetter Group’s Director, commented, “London Road is an iconic building and a real gift for us as hoteliers. We want to preserve the existing beauty and magic of the building and use it to help create a unique experience for our guests. Allied London should also be applauded for their vision and ambition for the regeneration of the area – it’s an exciting project to be a part of.”

Michael Ingall, Allied London’s Chief Executive, commented, 'I have no doubt that the Zetter Hotel will become a must-stay destination for Manchester’s many visitors. Our task is now to craft and curate the rest of the development and we will be inviting certain hospitality operators to make proposals for the remaining spaces.”

Over five floors, London Road will become ‘One Space’ – one collaborative destination with a multitude of aspects; including the Zetter Group’s hotel, a world class cocktail bar, spa and co working space.
