New Battersea Middle Eastern restaurant to open soon


Jan, the new Middle Eastern restaurant, which was due to open in June, is to open shortly in London's Battersea.

The 50-cover eatery with alfresco seating is to serve up dishes cooked in a charcoal oven. Diners can savour Slow Roast Shoulder in a Pomegranate Glaze served with Chickpeas & Caspian Spices, and Caspian Spiced Roast Chicken for two, served in a Cardamom & Rosemary Broth with Spiced Aubergine.

There will also be small plates and sides like Sticky Sumac Chicken Wings (pictured), Lamb Kofta Skewers with Pomegranate Molasses, Courgette Salad with Fresh Herbs & Saganaki Cheese, and Blackened Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Onion Rings.

Jan will offer cocktails with Middle Easter spices, as well as the restaurant's own beer, which it being created by Bermondsey's Brew by Numbers.
