The Square Pig in London's Holborn has just reopened following an extensive refurbishment. Situated on the corner of Holborn Square in heart of the capital, the pub now has a contemporary new look, and also offers a smart cocktail bar downstairs (pictured).
The Square Pig’s new diner-inspired menu hosts tasty light bites and mains designed for a quick working lunch or dinner with friends. Sharing dishes include the unique Tunada Rollnada (seared sashimi tuna, smashed avocado, roquito peppers and tomato, with a touch of coriander and chipotle lime), creamy Jalapeño Poppers with Black Pepper Ranch Dressing and the ultimate Nachos – diners can choose from succulent smoky pulled pork or BBQ steak loaded with tomato and coriander salsa, gouda drip, spring onions, sour cream and jalapeños.
The Square Pig gives London’s favourite burger joints a run for their money with the signature Smoke House Burger – a rare breed patty topped with succulent pulled pork, American double cheese, homebrew BBQ sauce, maple bacon, with tomato and red onion served in a cream bun. Also, big on the menu is the 30-day dry aged Black Angus Ribeye and Hickory Smoked Ribs.
Those looking for something a little more unusual than your typical pub grub can choose from Texan Crab Cakes, ‘Eton Vegan Mess’ (vegetable salad with a coconut and avocado dressing) and an exotic Teriyaki Swordfish with Sesame Noodles. For sweet treats, there are Little Pig Doughnuts with Salted Caramel Sauce, and Broken Lemon and Lime Tart topped with meringue.
The cocktail list includes Belvedere Raspberry Collins with Belvedere vodka, fresh raspberries and Fever Tree tonic. The familiar favourite Aperol Spritz sits alongside an adventurous offering of G&T cocktails such as the Loganberry Jam or the Red Chilli – all served as doubles. There are also a wide range of draught beers and local cask ales, as well as quality wines and ciders.
The site also offers a range of private hire options, including the hidden speakeasy bar downstairs, a marquee-covered decking area, or even the whole pub. The bookable space is also ideal for day meetings or private events, with audio-visual equipment and large screens available.
The Square Pig will be serving every weekday until Christmas. From sparkling Champagne receptions to a seated three-course dinner, The Square Pig can tailor each event to bespoke requirements.
