Viva Brazil sold out of administration

Viva Brazil, the Liverpool-based restaurant group has been sold out of administration by BDO.

Viva Brazil, founded by restaurateur Andy Aldrich, opened its first restaurant in Liverpool in 2010. Now they also operate restaurants in Birmingham, Cardiff and Glasgow.

Viva Brazil entered administration with BDO on 1 February 2016, with Kerry Bailey and Matthew Tait appointed joint administrators. On appointment, the joint administrators oversaw the sale of the businesses and assets to Viva Brazil Restaurants Ltd and Viva Brazil Birmingham Ltd.

BDO presented that despite the chain of restaurants expanding nationally, they have experienced a temporary deterioration in their working capital position because of unforeseen circumstances. The successful sale is presented to ensure that each of the restaurants will continue to trade under the new ownership.
