Travelodge to open seven new hotels

Travelodge have announced their plans for opening seven new hotels in Hampshire.

The group plans to open hotels in Lymington, Winchester, Southsea, Gosport, Portsmouth, Hedge End and Fareham. This expansion is forecasted to create more than 200 jobs in Hampshire.

The announcement comes after Travelodge expanded into North Hampshire with it’s opening of its 545th Hotel in Andover last month. The seven planned hotels will mean Travelodge will have 25 in the county.

Maureen Frost, Deputy Chief Executive of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the plans saying it will be a significant economic bonus for Hampshire.
