Bidvest Foodservice becomes Bidfood

From 3 April 2017, Bidvest Foodservice will be changing its trading name to Bidfood.

In May last year, the global Bidvest Foodservice business separated from the Bidvest Group (the parent company at the time), when it listed independently on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

The new parent company is Bid Corporation Limited (Bidcorp). This naturally meant the firm, along with the other Bidvest Foodservice businesses around the world, would change its name in due course to reflect this.

In choosing a new name, it was important for the businesses to retain a link to its heritage, as well as to reflect what it is most passionate about, hence the name Bidfood was developed.

Andrew Selley Chief Executive Bidfood UK, stated, 'Service excellence remains at the heart of our business priorities as we become Bidfood, and we are fully committed to investing in our local depots, our product ranges, our teams and our services.'
