Argyle Business Centre is planning to transform a former church in Belfast into a Titanic-themed hotel.
The scheme could see the Shankill Road Mission Presbyterian Church become a 50-bedroom, four-star hotel.
Drennan McBride of the business centre said that ‘at least five’ individuals and companies have expressed an interest in taking on the project. He added that a ‘feasibility study has been completed along with an economic appraisal and they have come back positive’.
Belfast is experiencing a boom in new hotel builds, with around 20 hotels at various stages of development around the city.
One of the largest projects is the transformation of the former Harland & Wolff drawing offices in the Titanic Quarter into an 84-bedroom hotel, due to open this year.
