The Old Butcher's Beer Bar, a collaboration between The Old Bookshop cafe-pub and Wiper and True Brewing Co, is to open on Saturday 1 April.
There will be six dedicated Wiper and True lines pouring the freshest brews straight from the brewery, along with a bottle list curated by the Wiper and True team to showcase the most exciting beers from around the world.
The line up from Wiper and True will also feature regular Pilot brew batches, which will allow drinkers to try the latest experimental recipes being tested on by the Wiper and True brewers on their 100L pilot brew kit.
The menu at The Old Butcher’s Beer Bar will be revealed soon via social media.
Owner Ben Gatt (pictured left with Michael Wiper) has been leading the renovations at The Old Butcher’s which is two doors down from The Old Bookshop. The team has unearthed and restored the original wall tiling from Collard’s family butchers, and they have lovingly built the bar and front of house.
