Elior Group acquires North American firm for £56.3m

The Elior Group has extended its platform in the North American contracted services market with the acquisition of the $70m (£56.3m) Lancer Hospitality company. The news follows by just days the acquisition of Guckenheimer by ISS.

Lancer specialises in service provision to commercial organisations, cultural sites, schools and healthcare facilities. Elior views the deal as strengthening its position in some of its priority markets while also expanding its geographic reach.

Philippe Salle, Elior Group’s Chairman and CEO, said, “This acquisition is another step within our strategic plan to accelerate development within growing markets.

“In the segments where we see significant opportunities, Lancer Hospitality fits perfectly. We are focused on growth within the United States and will continue to expand both organically and through strategic acquisitions like this one.”

Lancer Hospitality will continue to operate under its current brand, retaining both its management team and its 1400 employees.

The Elior North America business employs over 13,500 and operates more than 1300 client accounts.
