£20m Glasgow hotel with rooftop bar gets green light


Glasgow-based architects Stallan-Brand has been given the green light for a 150-bedroom £20m hotel complete with a sky bar overlooking the River Clyde.

The 17-storey building will offer 150 bedrooms, a ground floor restaurant and retail space, as well as the city’s first publicly accessible rooftop bar.

The hotel will be situated on the corner of Dixon Street and Clyde Street and will looking down on Buchanan Street, the UK's second busiest retail street beyond London.
