Royal Hall hosts awards with Kudos catering

Historic Yorkshire events venue, Royal Hall has hosted the Harrogate Business Awards for the first time.

The famous 114-year-old Harrogate hall became home to the 12th annual Advertiser Business Awards, held to celebrate the achievements of businesses located in Harrogate and surrounding areas.

Hosted by the Harrogate Advertiser, the ceremony saw 10 unique categories celebrated including the Family-run Business of the Year Award, Employer of the Year Award, Best Large Company Award and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The awards ceremony, traditionally hosted in more intimate venues, sought a larger, grander stage to create an immersive experience for guests, providing increased ambience alongside premium service.

Kudos, the venue management and catering team at the Royal Hall, hosted 280 guests and aimed to impress by creating a bespoke menu consisting of a starter of pork and apple rillettes, apple chutney, beetroot crisp and croute; followed by slow roasted daube of beef, spring cabbage, crushed wholegrain new potatoes, baby carrots, beef jus, horseradish and parsnip crisp. To complete the meal, Kudos’ chefs created an elderflower and lemon tart served with mint Chantilly cream and a strawberry coulis.

Food Experience and Commercial Manager for the Harrogate Convention Centre, Simon Wilkinson said, “I’m incredibly proud that our venue was chosen to host an event that celebrates the hard work of local businesses.

'Our team worked extremely hard to make sure the event went seamlessly, while our chefs created a superb menu that was certainly a well-deserved treat for all the attendees.”
