Dorsett Hospitality to open second UK hotel with 24-hour restaurant in July

Hong Kong-based Dorsett Hospitality is set to open its second UK site, The Dorsett City hotel in Aldgate, on 2 July

This 13-storey hotel will feature 267 rooms including suites, alongside two restaurants - one of which will be open 24 hours.

The new hotel will also offer a gym, which will also be open 24 hours per day, along with four meeting rooms, plus a destination rooftop terrace bar (pictured) with a 360 degree panoramic view of London's most iconic skyline.

The first restaurant, Shikumen will offer an Asian menu with dim sum and Chinese tea. The brand launched in 2014 within Dorsett Shepherd's Bush hotel.

Guests will be able to enjoy 24-hour dining and cocktails courtesy of the 60-cover VQ - also known as Vingt-Quatre.

Following a successful run of openings in Bloomsbury, Notting Hill and Chelsea, VQ will serve up its high quality, classic comfort food such as pasta dishes, burgers, salads, as well all-day breakfast plates, which include buttermilk pancakes and eggs Benedict.

VQ is planning to open ten further restaurants over the next three years.
