Founders of Roka to open Meraki in Fitzrovia

The family behind Roka, Zuma and other London restaurants is set to launch a new Greek restaurant called Meraki in Fitzrovia this month.

Peter Waney will open Meraki on Great Titchfield Street and the restaurant will be led by Greek chef Dimitrios Siamanis.

The restaurant’s name is taken from a Greek term referring to the love and soul that someone puts into their work.

The restaurant will feature two entrances, one on Great Titchfield Street and one on Foley Street, each with alfresco terraces. The dishes will focus on high quality produce sourced from Greece including chargrilled meats and fish and a selection of mezze dishes.

The Waney family opened their first restaurant Zuma in London 15 years ago followed by Roka and La Petite Maison, The Arts Club on Dover Street, Oblix at The Shard and Coya on Piccadilly.
