Maître Choux creates unique afternoon tea pairing menu at Blakes

Since it opened two years ago, the world’s first choux pastry specialist patisserie, Maître Choux has amassed a cult following. Now the South Kensington-based firm is stepping into new territory by creating a unique afternoon tea pairing menu at neighbouring luxury boutique hotel Blakes.

Developed in partnership with Lalani & Co, specialists in craft, single-batch teas from artisan tea growers, the experience will launch on 9 June, and will see signature creations from Maître Choux’ three Michelin star-experienced chef Joakim Prat paired with complementary teas.

Visitors to the award-winning hotel will be able to enjoy Caramel à La Bretonne (Salted Butter with Homemade Caramel) paired with an incredibly rare Kyoto Oolong from Japan; Café Pur Arabica (Pure Arabica Coffee) with Himalayan Imperial Black; gold-dusted Trésor à La Noisette (Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate Treasure) with Gold Leaf Black and Délice Rose à La Framboise (Spanish Raspberry) with Himalayan Bouquet.
