Pasta bar opens in Newcastle


Newcastle’s first fresh pasta bar, named Zucchini Pasta Bar, has opened in a 1,900 sq ft ground floor unit in the 55 Degrees North complex.

The owner and chef, Alan Barker has agreed to a 10 year lease at the complex, which was formerly occupied by City Retreat.

The new eatery specialises in fresh egg hand rolled pasta, using Italian imported produce and locally sourced ingredients all hand made on site.

Dishes include tagliatelle pomodoro classic, lasagne with lamb and mint ragu and fregola coriander and lime salad.
