Revamped Flitch of Bacon restaurant announces roster of celebrity chefs

Essex’s newly renovated Flitch of Bacon restaurant has returned with a bang, announcing a roster of celebrity chefs to cook alongside Chef Patron, Daniel Clifford.

The restaurant which reopened in April after a reshuffle from gastropub to high-end restaurant has been given a brand new menu, a new Head Chef in the form of Martin Major and a multitude of celebrity chefs ready to cook alongside two starred Michelin chef, Daniel Clifford every month for the rest of the calendar year.

Clifford has called this a “necessary move” as he believes that Essex deserves the high end catering seen in London, so he is bringing a series of Chefs with him for one-off events that provide the sleepy town of Little Dunmow with Michelin starred catering.

“I believe that Essex is in need of a high-end catering revolution and that means bringing the biggest and best names to my home county as I believe the people of Essex deserve the very best.”

The Flitch of Bacon will see its first guest chef night starting on 26 July with The French’s famed Adam Reid (pictured) kicking off proceedings followed by Restaurant Story’s Tom Sellers on 30 August.

Clifford will then be joined by Elephant Restaurant’s Simon Hulstone on 27 September, The Dairy’s Robin Gill on 25 October, Two Michelin starred and Great British Menu regular Tom Kerridge on 29 November with the year ending with the famed and much loved Delia Smith on 6 December.
