Michelin starred Serge et le Phoque to open in Londons Mandrake hotel

The team behind Michelin starred restaurant Serge et le Phoque in Hong Kong is set to open their first London restaurant in Fitzrovia this summer.

Originally stars of the Paris dining scene, Charles Pelletier and Fred Peneau (pictured) will open the new Serge et le Phoque restaurant in the new boutique hotel, The Mandrake.

The restaurant will cater for up to 80 diners and there will also be a private dining room for 16 diners.

There will be the option of an a la carte menu or a chef’s tasting menu, all which are inspired by French cuisine and will include their signature dish, Scallop with Anchovy & fried leek root.

Other dishes include a Pea Gazpacho with a hen’s egg, garnished with paper-thin rice wafers black with squid ink, Raw Yellowtail, seasoned by salty bottarga, peppery radish & olive oil, with Ruby Beet Sorbet & thick caramel sauce to finish.
