Edwards & Blake reports record-breaking first half of 2017

East Anglian-based contract catering firm, Edwards & Blake is celebrating an outstanding first half of 2017, which has seen a record number of new contract gains, with 40 new contracts awarded across more than 60 sites.

The new contracts won from both local and national players will see Edwards & Blake provide schools (primary and secondary) and sixth form colleges across the East of England with freshly cooked quality food from local suppliers – something the caterer prides itself on.

The company which became part of the Elior Group in April 2017, a leading foodservice provider, has benefited from its strong local presence and growing reputation, further strengthened by the backing and resource of its new parent.

Caroline Blake, founder and director of Edwards & Blake, said, “For 20 years we’ve been building a strong reputation in education circles for providing delicious, freshly-prepared, nutritious food and excellent service and it’s paying dividends. We’ve enjoyed a fantastic first six months and we are looking forward to more contract awards before the end of the year.”

Vince Pearson (pictured), the newly appointed chairman of Edwards & Blake, and chairman of Waterfall Catering Group, which Elior acquired in 2016, said: “It’s a privilege to be associated with Edwards & Blake and I’m delighted with its success. The company’s ethos and reputation are industry-leading and we’ll be retaining and building on the company’s core values as we look to expand further in the forthcoming months and years.”
