Delicatessen opens in new NW3 site

Operator of kosher cafes and restaurants, The S Group has opened Delicatessen in Hampstead, London NW3.

This is a second venue for the group’s flagship, replacing the first, on Fairfax Road in Swiss Cottage, which suffered licensing issues.

The new Delicatessen serves up a Middle Eastern menu with dishes such as Yemenite Kubaneh, a round loaf of sweetened bread, with pots of tahini and a spiced tomato-based herby paste, and Roasted Auergine with figs, cherry tomatoes and tahini.

There's also Beef Tartare with soy yoghurt, green peas, rocket & nuts, and Marrow & Ribeye Burger, Lambshuka- lamb, herbs, preserved lemon & tahini & mixed nuts, and Duck Breast with celeriac puree & heritage carrots.

For sweet treats there is chocolate mousse in a terracotta pot, with sea salt, thyme and tahini ‘soil’, and basbousa cakes - a semolina-based Middle Eastern treat, with tahini semifreddo and a berry coulis.

The new venue is open from 12 until 11pm on Sunday to Thursday, 6pm until 11pm on Saturday, and is closed Friday.

The S Group also operates Head Room Cafe, Pzazza, and Soyo restaurant in Golders Green.
