Wadworth to celebrate St George’s Day with patriotic ale

Wadworth, the Devizes-based pub operator and family brewer, is once again brewing its St George and the Dragon seasonal ale to celebrate St George’s Day, thanks to its continued popularity.

The beer will be available to buy from pubs across the Wadworth estate throughout the month of April. It has an ABV of 4.5% and is brewed using Pale Ale, Crystal and Amber, together with two British hops; WGV and Bramling Cross.

With fruity notes and a biscuit malt finish, it is both refreshing and easy to drink with delicate spice and a satisfying bite. This patriotic ale pairs perfectly with venison and root vegetables.

Andy Weaver, brewer at Wadworth, commented, “Following the previous success of St George and the Dragon, beer lovers have been crying out for us to brew it once again. As a patriotic business, we’re proud to be celebrating St George’s Day in the way we know best.”
