40 Bronze medals
55 Commended

Following the announcement of the results, Rob Cooke, Category Director for Beer, Wine & Spirits, commented, “We are delighted with these latest results and thrilled to be the leading the medal count with our own-brand wines.

'Winning medals from prestigious bodies such as the IWC is testament to the hard work everyone puts in to create a range we can be proud of.

'These medals are also a useful communication tool which enables us to clearly communicate to our customers, the great quality of the wines available to them at Tesco.”

Charles Metcalfe, Co-Chair of the IWC, commented, “Once again the UK’s supermarkets have proven that they can deliver a huge range of choice for an equally impressive range of tastes, palates and budgets. It’s also good to see their own-label brands doing so well.

'We’d definitely advise consumers to check these out. Many of these are made with some of the world’s top winemakers, so a great chance to find some world-class wines.”
