This August will see the London Craft Beer Festival return with their biggest celebration of modern beer to date, with over 65 breweries from around the world taking their place, alongside a bolstered line up of London restaurant scene big hitters, and a stellar line-up of DJs.
Arriving at its new home of Wapping’s Tobacco Dock, the three day celebration will see brewers from across the globe showcase their creations, many bringing limited-edition brews made exclusively for the festival, with ticket holders able to enjoy unlimited 100ml pours from a 100 strong selection of beers. The brewers will be joined by some of London’s best restaurants and chefs serving up a selection of London’s top dishes, all sound tracked by top-notch DJs.
Firing up their grills and readying their ovens will be Sri Lankan stars Hoppers, BBQ pros Pitt Cue, Luca who will be dishing up their signature ‘Britalian’ plates, Cantonese Bun specialists Bun House and a one-off seven course tasting menu from chef Tom Hunt, with beer pairings, for just £45. Completing the line-up will be meat specialists L’onglet and favourites from the Summer festival circuit, Big Apple Hot Dogs.
The weekend will see a host of leading bands and artists take to the stage for Dj sets across the three days. Friday at the festival will take on a distinct disco feel with legend of the re-edit Greg Wilson joined by Hercules & Love Affair, whilst Saturday afternoon will see BBC 6 Music host and Fun Lovin’ Criminals front man Huey Morgan take the helm, ably supported by Hip Hop Karaoke.
Indie heavyweights Two Door Cinema Club and Everything Everything will take over proceedings for Saturday’s evening session, with Sheffield’s Toddla T, Trojan Sound System and The Heatwave rounding off the weekend on Sunday.
Greg Wells, Co-Founder of the London Craft Beer Festival, said, “The London Craft Beer Festival is now six years old, and like most six year olds, it’s getting bigger each year. 2018 takes us to our new home of Tobacco Dock, meaning we can bring more great restaurants, DJs and amazing brewers from around the world together under one roof, showcasing the best of the world of beer.
“Each year the festival is a unique chance to eat some of the city’s best food with some of the world’s best beer and we’re excited to be joined by our biggest line-up yet of International and home-grown brewing talent, welcoming back firm favourites from years gone by and greeting new faces from around the world,” added Dan Sylvester, co-founder of the festival.
For the music heads and foodies in attendance preferring other tipples, the likes of vinters 19 Crimes and distillers Glenfiddich will be on hand alongside purveyors of ciders and gins with amply stocked bars to whet the whistle.
