Cork & Bottle to open third site next month

Gresham Inns is to open a new Cork & Bottle wine bar in London's Hampstead, giving an old pub a new lease of life.

The new branch will be joining the first Cork & Bottle wine bar near Leicester Square, which opened in 1971, and the 2017-opened second site in Paddington.

Opening in September, The White Horse on Fleet Road, will open as Cork & Bottle that will have over 300 bottles and a menu of cheese, charcuterie and pies.

The menu has been extended at the new outlet, and will serve up dishes such as Steak with Shropshire Blue butter & chips, and Garlic stuffed snails.

The Cork & Bottle founder, Don Hewitson, has handed over the reins to Will Clayton, owner of The Pride of Paddington pub, who will be modernising the brand under Hewitson's watchful eye.
