Breakfast Club to launch £750k crowdfunding campaign

All-day cafe and bar group, The Breakfast Club is set to launch a crowdfunding campaign through CrowdCube, to raise £750k to open its 12th site.

Launched in Soho back in 2005 by Jonathan Arana-Morton and Alison Rooney, the group currently operates sites mainly in London, with two in Brighton and Oxford. There are 11 branded The Breakfast Club as well as five individually named bars that are attached to cafe sites.

The menu kicks off with morning dishes such as the Cabbie’s Breakfast, waffles, pancakes and Benedict's. Later in the day, there are a selection of fried chicken wraps, burgers, burritos, pies and salads, with fries and mac 'n' cheese for sides.

For beverages, The Breakfast Club delivers Fairtrade lattes, smoothies and a range of beers, wines and cocktails.

Every Breakfast Club cafe or bar has a different design influence. In the past they’ve been inspired by working men’s clubs, Mexican dive bars, 70s bachelor pads, pie and mash shops and New York speakeasies.

A fun fact: last year, the group plated up over 928,000 pancakes - stacked, that's the equivalent of 30 London Shard buildings.
