Nottinghamshire County Council has unveiled its annual list of facts and top tens for 2018, including the most popular school meal dishes.

Making the top spot was Spaghetti Bolognese, followed by Fish & Chips then Nottinghamshire Sausage & Mash.

In at number four was the first dessert, the Magic Chocolate Pudding, then a starter of Cheese & Bacon Pinwheel (rolled up pastry sprinkled with bacon and cheese), before another sweet treat at six, Butterscotch Tart.

The seventh place was claimed by Cheese and Biscuits, surprisingly beating the nation's much-loved roast lunch.

Pupils chose Fish Finger Wrap for ninth most favourite, followed by a final pudding of Cornflake Tart at number 10.

Certain items were outed from last year's top ten including: Tomato and Mozzarella Bruschetta, Nottinghamshire Sausage with Yorkshire pudding, Tomato Soup with tomato dipping bread, Fish Goujons and chips, Vegetarian Sausage Roll, and Fruity Flapjack.
