Sodexo in £16m win in Scotland

Sodexo has been awarded a four-year soft services contract with Scottish Fire and Rescue.

The deal will see the company deliver a range of services including catering, cleaning, security and waste across the full SFRS estate - 420 locations – including whole-time and retained-duty system fire stations, offices and support locations, ensuring a consistent level of service across Scotland.

Sodexo notes that it will be supporting the SFRS in achieving its transformation strategy by allowing its 8,000-strong service personnel to focus on improving the safety and wellbeing of the communities they serve.

Sarah O’Donnell, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service director of financial and contractual services, said: “We are absolutely committed to providing the best value service for the people of Scotland. This contract will enable us to do exactly that, ensuring a consistent level of service across all SFRS properties and allowing us to concentrate on our core roles and responsibilities as we work to continue protecting Scotland’s communities from harm.”
