Iceland trials new wholesale delivery service

Supermarket chain, Iceland Foods is trialling a new wholesale delivery service across the UK, according to Better Retailing.

The new business element delivers a full range of lines across frozen, fresh, chilled, soft drinks and alcohol to retailers with no minimum orders and free deliveries on orders over £35.

Named Iceland Trade, the service will be operated using the same delivery terms as its retail offer (home delivery van pictured), and have a website where retailers can order up to 12 cases of a product.

Launched in 1970, Iceland Foods now operates over 900 stores throughout the UK, a further 40 owned or franchised stores across Europe, and a global export business.
