Independent cinema firm, Everyman Media Group has raised £20m in order to acquire four cinemas from Odeon Cinemas and ABC Cinemas in Gerrards Cross, Esher, Muswell Hill and Barnet.
The deal sees Everyman pay £7.1m for the four sites, which together have 14 screens. The company said it would cost £6.1m to refurbish the properties to Everyman standards.
The company currently operates 11 cinemas in London and the South East, as well as in Birmingham and Leeds. It also opens a new venue in Canary Wharf next month.
