Mexican restaurant group, Barburrito is to open a new outlet at the Qube redevelopment at Intu Metrocentre in Gateshead. The restaurant will create 25 jobs.
The 55-seat restaurant is the group's 12th and joins the estate which extends to Leeds, Manchester, London and Liverpool.
Barburrito recently opened a site in St David's Centre, Cardiff, and is planning to open 20 more stores in high footfall locations including major city centres, shopping centres and travel hubs.
Launched in 2005 by Manchester-based entrepreneurs, Morgan Davies and Paul Kilpatrick, the award-winning chain offers healthy food to eat in or take away.
