Wasabi launches first UK airport outlet at Luton


Japanese quick service chain, Wasabi has opened its first UK airport outlet at London Luton Airport.

The new 1000 sq ft store, which is open from 4am until 10.30pm, has created over 60 new jobs and offers travellers a fresh and healthy options.

It will be the first Wasabi to offer breakfast options such as Wake Up Cups with fruit and yoghurt, and breakfast Pots including the Rainbow, which offers a Japanese twist on the classic full English breakfast, as well as toasted wraps and an array of quality hot and cold beverages.

The menu also offers the brand's usual sushi, salads, soups and hot dishes, such as Prawn Tempura and Spicy Chicken Bento, all made using only the highest quality ingredients. There is also a range of authentic Bubble Teas and Aloe Vera juices.

The group currently has 40 branches across London, and recently opened branches in Leeds, Lakeside shopping centre in Essex and Cambridge, as well opening in New York last year.

Launched in 2003, Wasabi saw turnover reach more than £64m last year and currently employs around 1,500 people in the UK.
