Eversfield Organic buys Dorset County Foods out of administration

Eversfield Organic has acquired Dorset County Foods, which traded as Dorset Farms, out of administration for undisclosed terms, securing the future of nine jobs at the Bearminster-based food production business.

The deal will see Eversfield enjoy an anticipated 30% in turnover during the next 12 months and build its team to 36 people based working across the two sites.

Dorset Farms, which was established in 1984, is recognised internationally for supplying hand produced, high quality hams and bacon. It uses free range and organic west country pigs to provide its products to customers UK-wide through selected west country Waitrose stores, leading independent food retailers and farms shops as well as its online platform.

Eversfield Organic Farm was founded by Mark Bury and his family in 2002 to produce high quality, organic meat. The business’ vision was to create a farm where the animals live healthy and happy lives and where the land is looked after properly. Eversfield’s cattle and lamb are grass fed for life and are free to roam.
