Natural History Museum set for multi-million pound transformation

Natural History Museum in London is planning a multi-million pound transformation of its grounds as part of an overall redevelopment scheme.

The redevelopment and landscaping is to begin in 2017 and completion is set for 2020. The plans feature a below ground cafe and exhibition space.

Among other outdoor features, there will be a research garden for monitoring the city’s ecosystem.

There will also be a new entry point into the grounds via the pedestrian tunnel coming from South Kensington Tube station.
