Capital Hotel wins Best Culinary Hotel in the World title

The Capital Hotel, located in London's Basil Street, has won the World's Best Culinary Hotel in the World accolade at the World Boutique Hotel Awards 2015.

The Michelin starred restaurant Outlaw's at The Capital boasts an ever changing array of unique dishes created using British seafood caught predominantly around the coast of Cornwall.

Masterminded by Nathan Outlaw and Head Chef Pete Biggs, who source the freshest and best seafood from fishermen they know. They let the ingredients take centre stage and menus showcase an array of original and creative seafood dishes.

The Capital is a unique 5 star townhouse hotel offering 49 luxury bedrooms and personalised service in the heart of Knightsbridge, just yards from Harrods, Harvey
Nichols and Hyde Park. Opened by its Scottish proprietor David Levin in 1971, it is to this day, a family-run hotel managed by Levin’s daughter, Kate.

The winners and runners up of the World Boutique Hotel Awards 2015 were announced on Friday at a ceremony held at the Montcalm Marble Arch in London.

This year's keynote speech was delivered by Robin Sheppard, chairman of Bespoke Hotels, and the event also saw the launch of Master Key Society, a new collaborative venture 'to create valuable relationships exclusively amongst the winners of the WBHA, by facilitating hotel exchange visits between them, to share know-how and experience'.
