Charterhouse Leisure sees sales uplift of 19.6%


Charterhouse Leisure, parent company of Coal Grill & Bar, has reported that sales have risen by 19.6% to £12.2m for the year to February 2016.

The firm showed for the period that EBITDA rose by 12.5% to £1.8m, and group EBITDA soared by 22.9% to £1.094m.

As well as Coal Grill & Bar, the group operates Severnsheds, a restaurant and cocktail lounge in Bristol, bringing its estate to 10 sites in February, with a further two outlets under contract.

Founder and chief executive, John Gater commented, 'This was a year of working with our teams to consolidate our performance, develop our customer engagement, improve our marketing and prepare ourselves for a period of growth.

'I am delighted that we now have two sites under contract and confirm that negotiations are developing well on many more sites across the country where we can expand the Coal Grill and Bar brand.”
