Conigliaro introduces Japanese-inspired sharing plates menu at Untitled

Tony Conigliaro’s Untitled, a new kind of cocktail bar and restaurant, which opened on Kingsland Road, Hackney to critical acclaim in February, will introduce a Japan-inspired sharing plates menu, served at the bar and 30-cover restaurant space, from Thursday 4 May.

The new restaurant menu, a first for Tony, has been developed and curated by Untitled’s executive chef Rob Roy Cameron (El Bulli, 41 Degrees, Hoja Santa) and fuses contemporary cooking techniques with authentic Japanese flavours.

The clean flavours of Japanese ingredients provide the perfect pairing to Tony’s daring cocktails at Untitled, some of which have a Japanese leaning using ingredients such as sake, soy and matcha.

Diners at Untitled can expect to find a succinct, ever evolving list of sharing dishes, to complement the cocktails, with a different menu designed for day time and dinner.

On the weekend day menu, available from 11am-5pm every Saturday and Sunday, is an array of dishes inspired by Japanese snacks including Matcha muffin, and Yoghurt & bee pollen granola, and the house signature Katsu sandwich with beef, pickle & bulldog sauce.

A selection of hot and cold udon and buckwheat noodle dishes are also available the day menu, including Hot udon noodles with mushroom broth & pickled shiitake.

For dinner, served 5pm-10pm Tuesday to Sunday, a selection of refined Japanese plates are on offer, including Miso tomatoes with yuzu zest, Aubergine with miso & hazelnuts, and Cured duck with liquorice teriyaki sauce, alongside a short list of desserts such as Mini yuzu mochi.
