Handmade Burger Co sold out of administration

Administrators of the restaurant chain the Handmade Burger Company, have announced the sale of the company’s remaining branches to an unnamed buyer.

Earlier this month the company went into administration and nine of the company’s restaurants were closed with the loss of 163 jobs.

The sale has now been agreed which means the 20 remaining chains will continue to operate, including Edinburgh, Reading, Bath, Wembley, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Southampton.

Joint Administrator Julien Irving said, “Since our appointment on 6th July we have worked hard to secure the most favourable outcome for all creditors.'

'Despite being unable to propose a CVA, we have since managed to secure a buyer for the business and are delighted that this positive outcome has been achieved.”
