Hai Cenato launches brunch dishes with Italian twist

Following the success of its launch earlier this year, Jason Atherton and Paul Hood, co-founders of New York-Italian restaurant Hai Cenato, have expanded their menu with the addition of indulgent brunch dishes with an Italian twist.

The new family-friendly brunch will be served every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-3pm in the restaurant, as well as their outside terrace.

In addition, children - aged 12 and under - can enjoy a mini Margherita sourdough pizza or pasta Bolognese, plus a cone of gelato (Crème Fraiche, Salted Caramel and Vanilla) for dessert - all on the house.

Brunch menu highlights include: Italian French toast, Amalfi lemon curd with blueberries; Primo sale, Italian watermelon, 36-month prosciutto, Mostocotto; Cacio e pepe, smoked mackerel, butter poached potatoes, flat parsley; and a lighter option of Rosemary Focaccia, fried Arlington whites with nduja jam. For those not wanting to miss out on the highly-acclaimed sourdough pizzas, a ‘Breakfast Pizza’ will be available topped with San Marzano tomato, sausage, oregano, prosciutto, mushroom and egg.

Hai Cenato’s upstairs bar – The Drunken Oyster – have curated a fresh and seasonal Elderflower and Peach Bellini especially for the brunch, which is available throughout the restaurant.

The full cocktail menu is also available, including their signature drinks; Negrose (Fords gin, Cocchi Rosa, Campari, strawberry, Tonka), Mamma’s Recipe (Ketel One, Baileys, ricotta, Kahlua, espresso) and Cosa Nostra: part II (Havana 3yr Rum, Amaro Montenegro, Palo Cortado, blood orange sherbet).

Jason Atherton commented, “It’s really important to me to make my restaurants as family-friendly as possible - keep the kids happy and it means parents can have a great time and relax a bit too. Hai Cenato is our most informal restaurant yet, and the perfect place for a family outing - my two girls love going there with myself and Irha at the weekend.”
