University of Exeter opens £48m conference and events venue

The University of Exeter has unveiled its new conference and events venue The Forum, following a £48m capital investment programme, making it one of Europe’s largest investments of 2012.

Funded by the University itself, The Forum includes a 400 capacity auditorium, 12 seminar rooms with the capacity of 25 and 2 exploration laboratories. There is also an outdoor landscaped piazza, networking areas and space for up to 40 exhibition stands. All of this boosts Event Exeter’s current existence within the conference market and now, with onsite accommodation for up to 1200 delegates, The Forum is one of the UK’s largest and best equipped destination venues.

The catering on site is currently run by an in-house team led by head chef Richard Narramore, housed under the venues iconic gridshell roof.
