Bone Daddies launching Flesh & Buns in Soho

Just 9 months after introducing Soho to 'Rock n Roll ramen', Bone Daddies chef and founder Ross Shonhan is now set to take casual Japanese dining to a new level by opening a 150 seat Izakaya-style restaurant on Earlham street in Covent Garden.

Scheduled to open next month, 'Flesh and Buns' is significantly larger than their first restaurant, the 60 seat Bone Daddies Ramen Bar in Soho. Shonhan aims to use the additional space to serve an extended menu of casual Japanese food designed for sharing. Situated below street level, the venue will feature a number of larger tables to accommodate groups and will take reservations. There will also be a proper cocktail bar dedicated to serving up a short selection of Japanese-inspired drinks including frozen yuzu margaritas, Japanese whiskeys and Shochu, a Japanese liquor.

The main feature on the food menu at Flesh and Buns are the 'Hirata' buns which are served with a choice of 'flesh'. These will be served on a build your own style sharing platter along with sauce, a choice of pickles and lettuce. The choice of meats will rotate regularly and will include options such as lamb chops, whole sea bass or pork.
