The Strand Hotel has notoriety due to its links with Coronation Street. The hotel featured in the infamous episode where Alan Bradley was killed by a Blackpool tram after hunting down long standing ‘Corrie’ character Rita Fairclough, played by Barbara Knox MBE, who was seeking refuge at the hotel.
