The Real Greek to launch in Bristol

Mediterranean restaurant brand, The Real Greek, is to make its debut in Bristol at Hammerson's Cabot Circus shopping centre.

Having opened one of its first restaurants outside of London at Westquay, Southampton in 2016, The Real Greek is continuing its regional expansion in the South West with a 2,300 sq ft restaurant in Cabot Circus, due to open in this winter. The restaurant at Westquay has traded above expectations since its opening.

The Real Greek serves Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with dishes inspired by the Ancient Greeks and restaurants designed to bring the Greek dining experience to the UK. With a focus on shared dining and a casual, relaxed atmosphere, the brand will be a welcome addition to the line-up at Cabot Circus, which is the destination of choice for 17.5 million visitors every year.

This latest letting is a result of a proactive asset management strategy to enhance the centre’s dining and leisure offer in response to growing consumer demand. As a result, Cabot Circus is now home to a varied range of restaurants including Raymond Blanc’s Brasserie Blanc, Côte, and the first L’Osteria in the UK.

Sarah Fox, Head of Restaurants and Leisure at Hammerson, said, “We are delighted to welcome The Real Greek’s first restaurant in Bristol to Cabot Circus, where it will complement and enhance the growing and diverse catering mix at the centre with its distinct cuisine. The decision to expand in the region demonstrates strong occupier confidence in both the scheme and Bristol.”
