Plymouth pub reopens after £125k revamp from Punch

The Eagle in Plymouth reopened its doors following a £125k investment by owner, Punch.

The new look Eagle has undergone a transformation which included a new frontage, full redecoration and new furnishings throughout.

Now boasting five TV screens, including the newly installed 75inch screen, the Eagle will host all key sporting events throughout the year.

The pub has reopened with a new publican, Emily Gardiner at the helm (pictured with colleague, Sharon Chalmers), who has worked at the pub for 10 years.

Gardiner said, 'The pub looks great and I cannot wait to welcome back customers old and new. The Eagle has always been central to the community and we can’t wait for everyone to come and see the new look pub, try out the new menu and really enjoy their time with us”.

The new look pub also has a new all-day menu featuring all the pub favourites.

Punch Development Manager, Lisa Smart, said, “We are extremely pleased with the new look pub that has been created here. We are looking forward to working with Emily and have every confidence that this fantastic community pub will go from strength to strength.’’

Punch owns around 1,300 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales and is investing £32m in its pub estate in the next year working with the best Publicans to build and grow fantastic community pubs.
