Cofresh expands with £8.1m Nuneaton warehouse

Cofresh has acquired an £8.1m 130,000 sq ft warehouse at Attleborough Fields Industrial Estate in Nuneaton for its Indian snack food manufacturing business.

Cofresh Snack Foods originated in Kenya in the 1960s where Managing Director Priyesh Patel’s father, Dinesh ‘Papa’ Patel, owned and ran a factory making potato crisps and popcorn for local cinemas and shops.

The multi-million pound company is now the UK's Number 1 Indian snack brand, with a 39% market share.

In 2014, the firm launched Eat Real - the healthier snacking brand - in response to the growing demand for 'free from'? and vegan snacks. With more and more consumers following a free from and/or vegan diet, the brand has enjoyed phenomenal success; it now leads the healthier snacking category and is one of the UK’s fastest growing healthier snacking brands.

Eat Real offers a wide range of plant and grain-based ‘good for you’ snacks which are based on three simple concepts – taste, nutrition and real ingredients with no hidden nasties. Made from all natural ingredients and free from all 14 declarable allergens, they’re gluten-free, lactose-free, Vegan and suitable for Kosher and Halal diets.

Eat Real is now the UK's Number 1 'free from'? bagged snack brand, with a 38.5% market share.
