New GM takes reins at Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh

Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre has welcomed a new General Manager.

Experienced hotelier Susan Craig has joined the team at the property, which is operated by the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, RBH.

Craig has worked in the industry for more than 25 years, will head up the team of 22 at hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, which is currently benefitting from a £5.5m refurbishment.

Starting off her career in hospitality as a food and beverage manager, Craig also worked for Cosmopolitan Hotels as area HR manager before taking on her first general manager role.

She has spent a number of years overseeing hotels within the RBH portfolio. However, Craig's most recent post saw her based at Airth Castle Hotel and Spa in Falkirk.

Craig said, “I am thrilled to be starting a new chapter in my career at such an exciting time for the hotel, as the finishing touches are made to our 25-bedroom extension – the final part of our extensive refurbishment programme.

“I am also delighted to return to the RBH family, where I have spent much of my career – it’s like coming home. I look forward to working with the team to ensure the continuation of the first class service offered to visitors to the capital.”

Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre’ multimillion pound refurbishment includes a 25-bedroom extension, due for completion in July, which will take the total number of available rooms to 186.
