Sweet Chick flys into UK in 2019


Sweet Chick, founded by John Seymour and backed by rapper Nas, is to launch in the UK this year in London W1.

The gourmet chicken and waffle restaurant will be situated on the Carluccio’s site on Market Place, just off Oxford Street.

In the US, there are currently four Sweet Chick outlets in New York - Williamsburg, Lower East Side, Prospect Heights and Queens, and one in Los Angeles.

The menu is full of Southern comfort food such as fried chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, BBQ hash, pancakes, chicken wings, sliders, and mac & cheese. There's also crawfish and crab dishes. Sides include biscuit & gravy, maple glazed bacon, slaw, collared greens and home fries.

To finish,there are daily dessert specials including doughnut ice-cream sandwiches and pies.

The cocktail list serves up drinks such as Tiger, Tiger Wood Y'all - bourbon, cognac, lemon, honey & iced tea, and The Love Below - vodka, roasted pineapple, lime, strega, rose syrup, eucalyptus, and Numb Numb Juice - cognac, akvavit, hibiscus tea, lemon, bayleaf & grenadine.

John Seymour, a former bartender, founded Sweet Chick in 2013 before Nas joined him to back the brand in 2015 to boost expansion.
