Cheltenham hotel reveals six-figure bedroom revamp

A Cheltenham hotel has been boosted by a six-figure bedroom refurbishment – with further investment planned throughout the latter part of 2019.

Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham, which is operated by the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, RBH, has seen around £250k invested in improvements to a number of guest rooms.

Fifty-two rooms have been refurbished to ensure today’s smart travellers enjoy all of the amenities they are used to, with facilities upgraded to meet Holiday Inn Express’ Generation 4 standards, including fully upgraded Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The completion of this stage of works marks the end of a carefully phased, long-term project to transform all 132 of the hotel’s bedrooms.

Further plans are in the pipeline for £800k of improvements to the hotel’s ground floor public areas and facilities, as well as the conversion of existing space into additional guest rooms.

Icynth Ferrão, the hotel's General Manager, said, “We’re thrilled to see the remaining 52 rooms in the hotel transformed and hope our guests enjoy their new surroundings.

“Having all of our guest rooms in line with the Holiday Inn Express Generation 4 standards gives us an edge when it comes to providing excellent accommodation within the historic town of Cheltenham.

“We’re also very much looking forward to the prospect of additional guest rooms and further improvements to the public areas of the hotel.”
