Arc invests £300k in Manahatta conversion


Arc Inspirations, the leading operator of bars across the North of England, has revealed plans to convert The Pit site in Harrogate to its popular Manahatta brand, as it continues to focus on the strategic alignment of its brands.

The transformation will take place throughout August, with reopening set for early September, and form part of a £300k investment in the site. The move further demonstrates the company’s commitment to investing in and growing its portfolio of bars, each of which provide outstanding and highly differentiated experiences for local communities.

When open, the bar will echo the stylish contemporary look of its four immensely popular sister sites in Leeds and Manchester. The New York-inspired bar will feature eclectic finishes such as peacock blue booths and neon signs transforming the space into an Instagrammable haven.

The newly refurbished bar will also create up to 40 full and part-time jobs in total as the company continues to expand its cluster model approach, operating sites in close proximity and complimentary to each other.

The food and drink menu will boast Manahatta favourites including cocktails devised by award-winning bar development manager Mark Austin and the team from the American bar in London’s Savoy Hotel.

The drinks list includes classics with an American twist, including Manahatta Spritz and serves championing the local area such as the Cuban Postcard. Espresso and Pornstar Martini cocktails will be served on draught using an innovative system chilling the mix and delivering a perfectly poured drink every time.

The premium bar-restaurant concept will offer brunch, lunch and an evening American-style menu encompassing classic dishes from beef burgers made with chuck and fore rib cuts sourced from locally reared beef, powerbowls packed with superfoods to indulgent desserts including bubble waffles.


Manahatta Harrogate will launch with a VIP party on 6 September.
